Work will be starting shortly on the restoration of both chapels in Selby Cemetery. The South Chapel will be restored and will remain as a storage / workshop / office facility for our team based at the Cemetery. The North Chapel will revert to being used as a chapel as well as be converted into an education centre / community space / visitor hub. We are holding an open day on Monday 12 August in the North Chapel where we will display the plans, answer questions, and seek the views of members of the community on how they could see the space being used. The drop in event will run from 10.30 am to 2.30pm and myself and councillors will be in attendance. I do hope that you and members of your group will be able to drop in during the day.
