As a result of the Family Fun Day, we had some new visitors to our session, wanting to begin their family trees. It was lovely to see the room so busy!

Tony Saxton spoke about Women at War, and many other topics too! An entertaining morning with plenty of props to look at afterwards.

A research, training and copying session took place. Unfortunately, I was unable to attend, so I don't have any more information.

A committee meeting was held before the main meeting, a member-led session based on the recent Quaker talk. Jo and Caroline presented a wealth of information about Quaker records and how they have been used in research.

A good number met with two new visitors, to continue research or begin the journey. Hopefully they will return and join us as members.

A good attendance to hear from Ben Beck about Quakerism via a zoom link which was a bit temperamental at times, but we got there, thanks to IT whizz Shirley stepping in! The information came thick and fast but luckily, Ben has promised to send a list of links to various Quaker sites. It will appear on the Links page as soon as I have it.

A special event was held in the Town Hall for all the grant applicants to receive their grant cheques. Jenny, Sheila and others attended the event.

About a dozen members joined together top continue research, practise using the zoom link ready for next week's meeting

A lively meeting, with more information about the Battle of Selby, then memories of those involved in VE Day, letters, photographs and anecdotes.

A research, training and copying session was held in the Town Hall studio.

22 people heard David Lewis speak about the Battle of Selby, making it an entertaining morning for all! We hope it won't be too long before he visits us again.

A quiet morning, chance to continue research, exchange ideas and consume hot beverages!
