A good attendance to hear from Ben Beck about Quakerism via a zoom link which was a bit temperamental at times, but we got there, thanks to IT whizz Shirley stepping in! The information came thick and fast but luckily, Ben has promised to send a list of links to various Quaker sites. It will appear on the Links page as soon as I have it.

A special event was held in the Town Hall for all the grant applicants to receive their grant cheques. Jenny, Sheila and others attended the event.

About a dozen members joined together top continue research, practise using the zoom link ready for next week's meeting

A lively meeting, with more information about the Battle of Selby, then memories of those involved in VE Day, letters, photographs and anecdotes.

A research, training and copying session was held in the Town Hall studio.

22 people heard David Lewis speak about the Battle of Selby, making it an entertaining morning for all! We hope it won't be too long before he visits us again.

A quiet morning, chance to continue research, exchange ideas and consume hot beverages!

About 15 members attended with a lively discussion following our visit to the Masonic Lodge. It was a good session.

An alien arrived from outer space wanting to trace their ancestors - no, wait, that was an April Fool's prank!!. In reality, we had an interesting meeting, exchanging ideas and continuing our own research. Some technical help was given and the cupboard of resources has been given a spring clean. An updated list of books should appear on the page soon.

The visit to Selby's Masonic Lodge went very well. Eighteen members attended and enjoyed a talk by David Bryan and other members of the lodge. It was very interesting, thank you.

A good number of members met to exchange ideas, news and information about our local area and across the world.

A busy morning listening to Jenny's podcast on Radio York, memories from Christine's loft regarding RAF Burn and distant relatives and the story of a gifted prayer book (over 200 years old) which showed how much research Caroline has undertaken to find out about her family.
